Abstract:The Late Holocene volcanic activities in Northeast China are severely intense. The volcanic active stage in 1200 AD±has been well studied by previous geologists. Based on historical documents, thermoluminescence dating and isotopic age of 14C, as well as the newest achievements by geological survey, the latest volcanic active stage around 1720 AD in Late Holocene Epoch is confirmed. Study on such volcanic active stage is importantly significant to the exploration of the rhythms of volcanic activities and early warning of geologic hazards.
